Jack Edward "Eddie" Heflin, Jr., 60, of 327 Cypress Drive, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 in his home. Mr. Helfin was born in Pleasanton, CA on November 13, 1954, and was the son of the late Jack Edward, Sr. and Nina Belle Gaskins Heflin. A locksmith, he was a member of Berean Bible Church in Virginia Beach and had served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Paul Heflin and a brother, Gerald Heflin. Surviving are his wife, Claire Lawrence Heflin; a daughter, Charissa Dawn Thomas and husband Shelton of Edenton; a son, Jeremy Scott Heflin of Delaware; a daughter-in-law, Priscilla Gibson Heflin of Chesapeake, VA; a sister, Marilyn H. Miner of New York; two brothers, Thomas J. Heflin of Grandy and Donald Heflin of Conway, SC; eight grandchildren, Lacy, Autumn, Blaze, Promise, James, Kymberlin, Sarah, and Victoria; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Ian.
