Marilyn Stallings Noble

Marilyn Stallings Noble, 68, of 782 Sandy Cross Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Monday, January 19, 2015 in her home. Marilyn was a life-long resident of Gates County, born on January 23, 1946, and was the daughter of the late James Edward, Sr. and Sarah Berryman Stallings. The owner and operator of Carolina Refinishers, she was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and as a G.A. and Acteens Leader. Surviving are her daughter, Michele Copeland and husband Neil of Hobbsville; three grandchildren, Devon Lake, Chase Copeland, and Lydia Copeland; a great-grandson, Harrison Copeland; and a brother, J.E. Stallings, Jr. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Sandy Cross Baptist Church by the Rev. Terry Jones and the Rev. Dr. Jesse Croom. Burial will be in the Stallings Family Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the fellowship of the church immediately following the service on Thursday, and all other times at the residence.
