Nellie Gregory Roberts

Nellie Gregory Roberts went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2015 at the age of 100. Mrs. Roberts was one of seven children born to the late Phillip McHorney and Nellie Ballance Gregory. A homemaker and farmer's wife she was a member of Providence Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years William Edward Roberts, five brothers, and a grandson-in-law, Kenny Sohn. Surviving are her son, Glenn E. Roberts and wife Sandra of Shawboro, a granddaughter Bonita Sohn, four great grandchildren, Christopher, Savannah, Kenita and Toby; and a brother, Clifford Gregory. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Roberts Family Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Stevens with a visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church, PO Box 140, Shawboro, NC 27973.
