Maude Corprew Barber

Maude Lee Corprew Barber, 74, of 5367 Sir Barton Drive, Virginia Beach, VA, died Monday, February 16, 2015 in Heritage Hall Nursing Center. Mrs. Barber was born in Chowan County, NC on October 3, 1940 and was the daughter of the late William Woodrow and Edna Louise Sawyer Corprew. A homemaker, she attended Kempsville Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Carl Nixon Barber; a daughter, Jennifer Barber of Virginia Beach; two sons, Michael Barber of Hampton, VA and Kenneth Barber of Williamsburg; and four grandchildren, Allison Barber, Olivia Rosas-Barber, Emily Rosas-Barber, and Julian Rosas-Barber. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 21st, at 1:00 p.m. in the Nixon Family Cemetery in the Rocky Hock community of Chowan County, by the Rev. Tracy Smith. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, NC is assisting the family with arrangements.
