Mary King Allen

Mary King Allen, 89, of Hampton Woods Retirement Complex, Jackson, NC, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the Northampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Allen was born in Gates County on November 2, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Henry Peoples King, Sr. and Geraldine Parker King. The retired postmistress of the Roduco Post Office, as a child she was raised in the fellowship of Cool Spring Baptist Church in the Eure community of Gates County but in recent years was a member of Conway Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Allen. A private memorial service will be held at later date on the family plot at Cool Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
