Kevin Lloyd Sawyer

Kevin Lloyd Sawyer, 27, of Bosley Road, Sunbury, NC, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Edenton. Kevin was born in Pasquotank County on August 11, 1987. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sam and Matilda Sawyer. Surviving are his mother, Shelly Rucker Riddick of Sunbury; his father, Alan Sawyer and his companion Bobbie of Edenton; a daughter, Lyra Godwin; maternal grandmother, Tina Dunton of Hobbsville; a sister, Renee Nowell of Sunbury; a brother, Matthew Riddick of Sunbury; two nieces, Cailyn and Zoey; a nephew, Derrick; and many cousins and extended family members. A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Edward G. Bond Post 40 of the American Legion in Edenton. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Renee Nowell, 573 Bosley Road, Sunbury, NC 27979 for use in a local community project in his memory.
