Clyde Thomas "Pete" Petrey, 70, of 160 Water Lilly Loop, Edenton, NC, died Monday, March 9, 2015 in Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Windsor. Mr. Petrey was born in Lincoln County, KY on November 21, 1944. Retired with the rank of Petty Officer First Class from the United States Navy, he had served for over 20 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his military career he had been employed as a commercial truck driver for many years. He was a member of Glenrock Church of God in Norfolk, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Lewis, and by eight siblings. Surviving are his wife of nearly 40 years, Terence Burdette Petrey; two daughters, Katherine Matthews of Hobbsville, Billie Jo Sayas of Smithfield; two sons, Kenny and William Kinley, both of Edenton; a brother, Delmus Petrey of Kentucky; 14 grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Tiffany, Phillip, Misty, Thomas, Lea, William, Nikki, Chris, Samantha; Frankie, Chance, and John; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:15 p.m. in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milner's Road, Suffolk, VA.
