Arlene Bannister Arnold, 87, of Roper, NC, died Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. Mrs. Arnold was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 8, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Ralph Edward and Frances Tortorice Bannister. A homemaker, she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Edenton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ward Arnold, a daughter, Deborah Ann Arnold, a sister, Carol Speight, and by a brother, Marshall Bannister. Surviving are her son, Wyatt Arnold and wife Ginger of Wilson; five grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Edenton. A private burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, handling arrangements.
