Marvin Eugene Parrish, 73, of 1724 Virginia Road, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. Mr. Parrish was born in Chowan County on October 26, 1941, and was the son of the late John and Cora McClenney Parrish. A retired warehouse supervisor with George C. Moore Company, he was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn P. Slades; and brothers, John Linwood and Herman Edward Parrish. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Annette White Parrish; two daughters, Michele Parrish of Durham, and Alison Parrish Ward and husband Brian A. Ward of Edenton; and four grandchildren, Tevin, Drew, Jordan, and Lincoln. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery by the Revs. Don English and Danny Gurganus. Friends may join the family Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society McConnell-Raab Hope Lodge, 930-A Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
