John W. Floars, II

John W. Floars, II, 67, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA. Mr. Floars was born on July 25, 1947 in Edenton, NC, and was the son of the late Kenneth Neal and Margaret Harrell Floars. A graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, he worked for the Central Intelligence Agency for six years, and later with the Defense Intelligence Agency for 28 years. He was a member of Edenton Baptist Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Edith Riddick Floars, and his son, Sean K. Floars. A visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Mountcastle-Turch Funeral Home & Crematory in Dale City, VA. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. David Brooks.
