Krista Brennan Foberg

Krista Renee` Brennan Foberg, 32, formerly of 120 New River Drive, Hertford, NC, died peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Rex Hospital following a brief bout with cancer. Krista was born in Newark, NJ on November 20, 1982, and was the daughter of Thomas Stephen Brennan, III and Liliana Loreta DiCocco Brennan of Hertford. A graduate of Morris Knolls High School in Rockaway Township, NJ, she was a Certified Nursing Assistant, and had worked at both Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton and Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hertford. Additionally, she had given comfort and care through her work as a home health care provider. A member of Hertford United Methodist Church, she had been raised in the fellowship of the United Presbyterian Church of Flanders, NJ. A loving daughter, sister, and mother, she loved to collect and found peace in Unicorns. Surviving in addition to her parents are her son, Steven Vincent Foberg of Hertford; a half-sister, Lori Ann Bennett of Benson, NC; a half-brother, Thomas Stephen Brennan, IV of Stanhope, NJ; an aunt, Christina DiCocco; uncles, John and Mario DiCocco and Cliff and Mike Brennan; and many cousins and extended family members. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 28th, at 4:00 p.m. in the Hertford United Methodist Church and will be officiated by the Rev. Jane Leechford and Chaplain Corbin Cherry. Friends may join the family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hertford U.M.C. Youth Group, in care of the church, 200 Dobbs Street, Hertford, NC 27944.
