Scott Dail

David Scott Dail, 47, of Radford, Va., and formerly of Edenton, NC, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va. Born March 3, 1968 in Suffolk, Va., he was the son of Evelyn Jethro Dail of Hertford and the late James Paul Dail. A construction worker, he specialized in the fields of painting and roofing, and was a believer of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancé, Candace Hobbs of Radford; by his three children; and by aunts, uncles, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. Donald Sawyer. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home, and other times at 1031 W. Bear Swamp Road, Hertford.
