Peggy Riddick

Marjorie Sawyer "Peggy" Riddick, 77, of 1365 NC Hwy 343 North, South Mills, NC, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 in her home. Mrs. Riddick was born in Camden County on October 4, 1937 and was the daughter of the late John Linwood and Mary Elizabeth Williams Sawyer. A homemaker, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mable Sawyer, Pauline Burton, and Shirley Kontz; and by a brother, Earl Sawyer. Surviving are her husband of nearly 62 years, Winfred Wright Riddick; three daughters, Deborah Riddick of South Mills, Robin Temple and husband Leroy of Elizabeth City, and Kimberlie Hale and husband Terry of South Mills; and three grandchildren, Sebastian, Skylar, and Sasha Hale. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City, by Pastor Darryl Stallings. Friends may join the family at Robin and Leroy's home, 416 Temple Road, Elizabeth City.
