Myrtle Eure Eason

Myrtle Eure Eason, 86, of 486 Folly Road, Sunbury, NC, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 in her home. Mrs. Eason was born in Whaleyville, VA on October 15, 1928 and was the daughter of the late William Clinton and Rosalie Carter Eure. A homemaker, she was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and its W.M.U. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Ray Eason; three sisters, infant Cyril Eure, Mabel Robertson, and Margaret Pittman; and by two brothers, Werdna Wayland Eure and William Lee Eure. Surviving are her two sons, Calvin R. Eason and wife Cheryl and N. Wayne Eason and wife Bonnie, all of Sunbury; two sisters, Marilyn Taylor of Whaleyville and Patricia Jackson of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Amy, Joey, Brad, Robbie and Beth; and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Garrett Lewis. Friends may join the family Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and also in the church social hall immediately following the service.
