Pennie Norman Eure went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2015 at Crofton Care & Rehab Center. She was born on July 30, 1916 to James and Penny Norman in Farmville, NC, where she lived until she moved to Maryland to become an LPN. She was a nurse for Crownsville State Hospital for 6 years and resided in Crownsville, MD since 1953. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a longtime member of South Shore Baptist Church and enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross Blood Drives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Eure, and by her seven sisters. She is survived by her son, Larry Eller (Karin), daughter-in-law, Linda Eller, grandchildren, Amy Propst, Joanna Call (Eric), Shannon Watts (Michael), Brandon Eller and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Propst, Jaylee Call and Saylor Call, and many nieces and nephews in NC. Friends will be received on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at 10:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am at Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A., 851 Annapolis Rd. Gambrills, MD 21054. A graveside ceremony will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm in Eure Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy., Pasadena, MD 21122.
