Kay Black Gregory

Kay Ann Black Gregory, 81, of Shawboro, NC, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation, Elizabeth City. Mrs. Gregory was born in Norfolk, VA on December 14, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Ottis Kendrick and Isabelle Harris Black. Retired from Albemarle Hospital, she was a member of Perkins United Methodist Church and a past member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stevenson Gregory, and by a brother, Ken Black. Surviving are her two sons, Dayle Gregory and wife Linda and Stevie Gregory and wife Kathy; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter due in July. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the home, 352 S. Gregory Road, Shawboro. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
