Betty Christine Harris

Betty Christine Harris, 81, of Edenton Prime Time Retirement Village, Edenton, NC, died Monday, June 22, 2015 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Christine was born in Chowan County on April 29, 1934, and was the daughter of the late George Army, Sr. and Mary Duncan Conner Harris. A retired hairdresser, she was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Edenton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes H. Taylor, and by her brother, George Army Harris, Jr. Surviving are a sister, Margaret Harris Duet of Paradis, Louisiana; five nieces, Linda, Georgia, Nancy, Yolanda, and Cheryl; three nephews, Mitchel, Richard, and Michael; and by many great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 29th, at 11:00 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church of Edenton by the Rev. Dr. G. Douglas Eddy, pastor, and the Rev. Jane Love, former pastor. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
