James Lucious "Luke" Byrum, IV, 19, of 724 Ryland Road, Tyner, NC, died Monday, June 29, 2015 in Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, Norfolk, VA. Luke was born in Pasquotank County on February 21, 1996, and was the son of James L. "Jimmy" Byrum, III and Catina Wood Byrum. A member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, he was a 2015 graduate of John A. Holmes High School in Edenton. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Faith Mackenzie Byrum of the home; maternal grandparents, Anzie Jethro and husband Phillip of Edenton and John E. Wood, III and wife Lynn of Moseley, VA; paternal grandparents, James and Jeannette Byrum of Tyner; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in Rocky Hock Baptist Church by Dr. James Horton. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, or in the Family Life Center of the church immediately following services on Thursday.
