Margaret Howell Merrill

Margaret Howell Merrill, 70, of 302 Hazelton Road, Gates, NC, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at her home. Ms. Merrill was born in Norfolk, VA on June 22, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Stanley March and Faye Pennington Howell. A homemaker, she was a member of Savage's United Methodist Church. Surviving are her two daughters, Sheila Wolford and husband Johnny and Sharon Adkison and husband Tony, all of Gates; two sons, Tommy Merrill and wife Anna of Hatteras and Timmy Merrill of Gates; a sister, Betty Sweeney of Streator, IL; five grandchildren, Tony, Jr., Hunter, Matthew, Amber, and Senora; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Makayla. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Savage's United Methodist Church Cemetery by Greg Casper. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, and all other times at Sheila and Johnny's home, 16 Lazy Acre Drive, Gates.
