David Wesley Sampson

David Wesley Sampson, 51, of 228 Selwin Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Monday, July 20, 2015 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton. David was born on December 27, 1963 in Havelock, NC. The owner and operator of Mastercraft Flooring, he was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and had coached the Rifle Teams at both Chowan Middle School and John A. Holmes High School. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, infant Jimmy, and later by Jay. Surviving are his wife of nearly 24 years, Lisa Jordan Sampson; his daughter, Ashley Sampson, and his son, Matthew Sampson, all of the home; his mother, Carolyn Tynch Sampson and husband Earl Malick of Clearwater, FL; and his father, James "Sam" Sampson and wife Sue of Hertford. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, by the Rev. Russell Blanchard. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
