Patricia Tarkington Williams

Patricia Ann Tarkington Williams, 66, of 1743 Ocean Highway, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in her home where she was surrounded by her family. Mrs. Williams was born on May 6, 1949 in Washington County and was the daughter of the late Paul Alton and Frances Harrell Tarkington. A member of Yeopim Baptist Church, she had formerly been employed as a catalog clerk at both the Sears and Montgomery Ward stores in Edenton, and later retired from Pelikan Ink. Surviving are her husband of nearly 48 years, Ken Williams; two sons, Scott Williams and wife Holly of Raleigh, and Chris Williams of Edenton; five sisters, Norma Phillips and husband Buddy of Roper, Lena Davenport and husband Dean and Vickie Ange and husband Phillip, all of Plymouth, Irene Stevenson and husband Dalton of Edenton, and Betty Forbes of Sanford; a brother, Jimmy Tarkington of Roper; and two grandchildren, Walt and Lilli Williams. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. Stanley Nixon. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service, and all other times at the residence.
