William Paul Godwin

William Paul "Buddy" Godwin, 70, of 1852 Wakelon Road, Colerain, NC, died Monday, August 17, 2015 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. Mr. Godwin was born in Washington County on May 9, 1945 and was the son of the late Buck Godley and Ruby Lee Williams Price. Retired from Georgia-Pacific, he had attended the former Jamesville Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Ray Godley and Johnny Mack Godley. Among his survivors are his wife, Patricia Self Godwin; four sisters, Peggy Godley Adams of Chesapeake, VA, Darlene Price Clifton of Plymouth, and Sandra Godley Tuttle and Doris Price Ambrose, both of Roper; two brothers, Jerry Lee Godley of Williamston and Robert Lee Godley of Virginia Beach; and a friend, Joyce Byrum. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
