L. Dean Lamb

Lloyd Dean Lamb, 48, of Yeopim Tail, Edenton, NC, died Saturday, August 29, 2015. Dean was born in Chowan County on March 24, 1967, and was the son of the late James Louis and Mary Alice Copeland Lamb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Daisy L. McKeown, and a brother, Delvin E. Lamb. Surviving are his two sisters, Juanita L. Byrum of Edenton and Darlene L. Casper of Manteo; four brothers, Hubert L. Lamb and wife Billie Jo of Chesapeake, VA, Kenneth N. Lamb of Edenton, Merrill C. Lamb of Hobbsville, and James "Eddie" Lamb of Colington Harbour. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery by the Rev. Donald Sawyer. Friends may join the family Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, in care of Darlene Casper, 119 George Tom Ct., Manteo, NC 27954 to help defray medical and other related expenses.
