Kenneth Franklin Rowsey

Kenneth Franklin Rowsey, 51, of 1148-1 Drum Hill Road, Gates, NC, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Riverside Regional Medical Center. Mr. Rowsey was born in Rockbridge County, VA on September 5, 1964 and was the son of Franklin Douglas Rowsey of Buena Vista, VA and the late Mary Elizabeth Wood Ramsey. He was employed as a foreman with Corman Construction Company in Chesapeake, VA. In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Betsy Annette Hill Rowsey; three daughters, Ashley Kaye Nichole Okervall of Raleigh, Ashley Annette Rowsey of Gates, and Brandy Alexis Rowsey Lyon and husband Clinton, also of Gates; a son, Dalton Franklin Rowsey of Gates; his step-father, Hansford G. "Hank" Ramsey of Portsmouth, VA; two brothers, Ronnie Rowsey of Onego, WV and Hansford G. Ramsey, II of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren, Haidyn, Luke, Sawyer, and Raven. Friends may join the family Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista.
