Jo Ann Copeland Lowe

Jo Ann Copeland Lowe, 70, of 823 Macedonia Road, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Vidant Chowan Hospital. Mrs. Lowe was born in Hertford County on July 4, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Rorie H. and Pearl Baggett Copeland. A homemaker, she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and had worked with the annual Chowan County Regional Fair for more than 30 years where she served on its Board of Directors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lynda Copeland Hollowell. Surviving are three sons, Randy Lowe of Edenton, John Robert Lowe and wife Vevlyn of Clinton, and Stephen Lowe of Greenville; a sister, Anita Hoggard of Colerain; a brother, Roy Copeland of Greenville; and four grandchildren, Sean Lowe of Edenton, Carter and Jackson Lowe of Clinton, and Logan Payne of Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, 2517 NC Hwy 45 North, Colerain, and will be officiated by the Rev. Bob Young. Friends may join the family Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and other times at the residence.
