Pauline Twine Riddick

Pauline Twine Riddick, 93, of 882 Acorn Hill Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Mrs. Riddick was born in Perquimans County on November 28, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Annie Hortance Rountree Twine. A homemaker, she also for many years worked with her friend and neighbor, Elva Mae Riddick doing upholstery work out of her home. She was the oldest member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Russell Riddick, and by her son-in-law, Donald Ray Stallings. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Riddick Stallings of Belvidere and Bonnie Riddick Herto and husband Richard of Suffolk, VA; two sons, Gene Riddick and wife Ellen, and Dennis Riddick and wife Suellyn, all of Hobbsville; six grandchildren, Paula Kaye Boyce and husband Robert, Allen Wayne Stallings and wife Missy, Brannon Riddick, Leeann Boyce and husband Ryan, Kristen Herto, and Adam Herto; and six great-grandchildren, Madisyn and Collin Boyce, Kenley and Addisyn Stallings, and Grayson and Madison Boyce. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in Sandy Cross Baptist Church and will be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Jesse Croom. A private burial will follow in the Riddick Family Cemetery near the home. Friends may join the family at the residence. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.millerfhc.com.
