John Anthony Mauser

John Anthony Mauser, 65, of 809 Sandy Ridge Road, Tyner, NC, died Sunday, September 20, 2015. Mr. Mauser was born in Cleveland, OH on June 1, 1950, and was the son of Irene Kirtley Tabory of Highland Heights, OH and the late Louis Daniel Tabory. A retired engineer from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, he was a Navy veteran. In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife of 37 years, Terri Rea Mauser; a daughter, Allison Michele Mauser and husband Josh Bunch of Tyner; a son, John Daniel Mauser and wife Kimberly of Swansboro; a sister, Brenda Wilson of Mentor, OH; a brother, Edward Mauser of El Cajon, CA; and five grandchildren, Andrew, Sophia, Tucker, Holly, and Zane Mauser. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. Greg Brinson. Burial with military honors will be in at 12 noon in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA. Friends may join the family at the residence.
