David Wayne McLean, 67, of 329 Cypress Drive, Cape Colony, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 in his home. Mr. McLean was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 16, 1947, and was the son of Grace McLean Pajor of South Bend, IN and the late Jack "Jake" McLean. A 1966 graduate of John Adams High School, he had served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. A carpenter, he was a member of Cape Colony Church of Christ and the Edward G. Bond Post #40 of the American Legion. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Bonnie King McLean; three daughters, Mary Kathryn Jones and husband Brian, Deborah West and husband William, and Beebe White and husband Henry, all of Edenton; a son, Jimmie Creekmore and wife Danielle of Williamsburg, VA; his sister, Aneta Morris and husband Bob of South Bend; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, he has been cremated and a private memorial service will be held. The family is receiving friends at the residence.
