Elmer Ronald "Ronnie" Hare, 72, of Gunzenhausen, Germany, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015. Mr. Hare was born in Wingfield, NC, on June 29, 1943, and was the son of the late Vance David and Mabel Byrum Hare. He was a supervisor with Verpalin Plastics in Gunzenhausen, and a veteran with the US Army, having served in Vietnam and Germany. He graduated from Chowan High School and Nashville Auto/Diesel College in Nashville, TN. Surviving is his wife, Ludmila Milec Hare of Gunzenhausen; his son, Ronald David Hare and wife, Andrea of Haundorf, Germany and grandchildren, Dennis Findley and Eva Christina. He is, also, survived by his sister, Thelma Hare Bunch and husband, Roger; his brother, Vann Russell Hare and wife, Betty, all of Tyner, NC, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vance Douglas Hare and niece, Amber Lanette Lane. A funeral service and burial will be held in Germany on Monday, October 5, 2015. A memorial service with military honors will be held Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Ballard's Bridge Baptist Church in Tyner, NC, at 3pm, with the Reverend Ronald Parr officiating.
