Jesse Alexander Wood

Jesse Alexander Wood, 18, of 122 Colony Drive, Edenton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Jesse was born in Virginia Beach, VA on October 22, 1996, and was the son of Denise Robinson of Edenton, and Jack Dempsey Wood, Jr. of Virginia Beach. He had been employed as a nursery worker with Greenleaf Plant Farm. Among other survivors are his girlfriend of 4 years, Kenia Gomez of Edenton; two sisters, Kelly Lynn Burke of Mesa, AZ and Sarah Elizabeth Wood of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Jack Dempsey Wood, III of Phoenix, AZ and Sam Montana Nill of Richmond, VA; his maternal grandmother, Linda Tiller of Edenton; his maternal grandfather, William Gordon Robertson of The Villages, FL; his paternal grandfather, Jack Dempsey Wood, Sr. of Jeannette, PA; and many extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 12 noon in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton and will be officiated by The Rev. J. Malone Gilliam. A reception for friends to join the family will be held at the Parish Hall of St. Paul's Episcopal Church immediately following the service.
