Baxter Lewis Sawyer

Baxter Lewis Sawyer, 62, of 1320 Shawboro Road, Shawboro, NC, died Monday, October 5, 2015 in his home. Mr. Sawyer was born in Currituck County on November 18, 1952, and was the son of the late Calvin Coston and Marguerite Pell Sawyer. The owner and operator of Eyeball, Inc., in earlier years he had served as a police officer with the Elizabeth City Police Department. For many years he had also been active with the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1847 in Elizabeth City. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Kay Evans Sawyer; and many extended family members and friends. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City, by the Rev. David Moehring. Friends may join the family at the residence.
