Dawn Lupton Dail, 81, of 3154 Indian Springs Road, Asheboro, NC, and formerly of Elizabeth City, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in her home. Mrs. Dail was a native of Currituck County and was the daughter of the late Elwood Lupton and Lucille Curls Powell. A homemaker, she attended First Assembly of God Church in Asheboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Pritchard. Surviving are her husband, Roy W. Dail; four daughters, Sharon Pendleton and husband Glenn of Elizabeth City, Cheryl Meads and husband Steve of Ramseur, Brenda Stumpf and husband John of Pensacola, FL, and Janet Powell and husband Rick of Tomball, TX; three sisters, Faye Jennings of Colorado Springs, CO, Jackie Dail of Elizabeth City, and Sandra Misenheimer of Mocksville; a brother, Robert Lee of New Bern; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by Pastor Rick Lowery. Burial will follow in the Copeland Cemetery, Hunter's Fork Road, Tyner. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home, and all other times at Sharon and Glenn's home, 785 Dryridge Road, Elizabeth City.
