W. Arnold Forbes

William Arnold "Lawn Mower Man" Forbes, 62, of 925 Foreman Bundy Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 in his home. Mr. Forbes was born in Pasquotank County on September 9, 1953, and was the son of the late Cecil Arnold and June Inez Needham Forbes. A mechanic, he retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Brenda Burgess Jameson Forbes; a son, Jason Arnold Forbes of Currituck; three daughters, Jenny Jameson of Oxford, Gail Jameson of Harrisonburg, VA, and Cheryl Lucas of Stanley, VA; a sister, Bonita Raby of Greenville; a brother, Tommy Forbes of Shiloh; and four grandchildren, Brandy Hughes, Hailey Robertson, Clara Trent, and Lauren Lucas. A memorial service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Riddle Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Jon Mason. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with the cremation arrangements.
