Michael Lee Rowe, 69, of 1946 Tara Court, #102, Greenville, NC, and formerly of Edenton, died Friday, November 13, 2015 in his home. Mr. Rowe was born on January 25, 1946 in Portsmouth, VA and was the son of the late Alfonzo "Fonzie" and Estelle Lamm Rowe. A retired Systems Analyst with the federal government, he had after his retirement worked with the NC Wildlife Commission in Edenton. A member of Open Door Church, since moving to Greenville in May of 2013, he had attended Oakmont Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Edenton Lions Club, had been a volunteer with the Edenton-Chowan Food Pantry, and had been active with the Albemarle Emmaus Community. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Rowe. Surviving are his wife of over 24 years, Darlene Mills Rowe; two sisters, Gerry Croom and husband Ed of Roanoke, VA and Verelle "Vee" Bunch and husband Ted of Durham; and two brothers, Bill Rowe and wife Elaine of Chesapeake, VA and Frank Rowe of Portsmouth, VA. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. Tim Dannelly. Following the service the family will receive friends at a reception being held at Nothin Fancy Café & Market, 701 N. Broad Street, Edenton.
