Pamela Hawkins Rubinstein

Pamela Hawkins Rubinstein, 64, of 515 Summerby Road, Roper, NC, died Sunday, November 29, 2015 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

   Mrs. Rubinstein was born in Decatur, Indiana on February 1, 1951. A retired social worker, in earlier years she worked with the Alexandria, VA School System, and later retired after 25 years with the Fairfax County, VA School System. She was a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

   Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Elliott J. Rubinstein; a daughter, Bethany Roslyn Rubinstein of Prince William County, VA; a son, Gregory Allen Rubinstein of Glen Burnie, MD; a sister, Charlene Nutter of Fort Wayne, IN; and two brothers, Robert Hawkins of Fort Wayne and Sid Hawkins of Berne, IN.

   A gathering for family and friends, with a time to share memories, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, NC.
