Florence Lamb Poulos

Florence Louise Lamb Poulos, 70, formerly of Elizabeth City, NC, and more recently of Hertford Manor, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in LifeCare Hospital, Rocky Mount, NC.

   Mrs. Poulos was born on December 21, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Louis Dempsey and Ellie Ferrell Lamb. A homemaker, she had formerly worked as a grocery clerk and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Leon Boone.

   Surviving are her husband, Chris Poulos; her daughter, Teri Boone; and her granddaughter, Tiffany Boone, all of Elizabeth City. Also surviving are her brother, Maxie Lamb of Hertford; and her devoted caregivers, Frances and Allen Lassiter of Edenton.

   Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Elizabeth City. Friends may join the family in the funeral home the hour prior to services.
