Andrea DeViller Miller

Andrea RoseEmma DeViller Miller, 83, of 102 Iredell Drive, Edenton, NC, died Monday, December 7, 2015 in her home.

   Mrs. Miller was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on August 8, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Roger L. and Julia Surette DeViller. A homemaker and retired bookkeeper, she had worked with the Edenton Clothes Closet where she was their Volunteer of the Year in 2005, and was a past board member of the Edenton Emergency Aid. A faithful member of St. Anne Catholic Church, she was a Sunday School teacher, a member of its Women’s Club, a church greeter, and had served as a Eucharistic Minister. A member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, in earlier years she had actively supported the Cub Scouts and served as a Den Mother.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Miller; a brother, Harvey Fitzgerald, sisters Evelyn Fraughton and Zita Muise, and by a grandson, James.

   Surviving are her children, Debra Miller, John Miller, Paula (Michael) Perry, and Susan (Marshall) Evans; and granddaughters, Julia and Elizabeth, all of Edenton; a sister, Eileen Hallisey of Malden, MA; and a brother, George T. DeViller of Tewksbury, MA.

   Friends may join the family Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. Private graveside services will be held, and burial will be with her husband in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
