Raymond Powers

Raymond Powers, 74, of 345 Camp Perry Road, Hertford, NC, died Monday, December 7, 2015 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

     Mr. Powers was born in Camden County on June 23, 1941, and was the son of the late Mack and Clara Mae Simmons Powers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Ballance, and by a brother, Julius Powers.

     Surviving are his daughter, Belinda Powers Owens and husband Charles of Hertford; three grandchildren, Tiffani Owens (Corey), Charlie Owens, and Nicole Owens; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.  

    A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford.
