Jane Alicia Vande Brake Hubers, 83, of Christian School Road, Pantego, NC, died Saturday, December 12, 2015 in her home.
Mrs. Hubers was born in Sioux Center, Iowa on June 6, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Bert H. and Agnes Den Ouden Vande Brake. A homemaker, she was a member of Covenant United Reformed Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Hubers, and by two sisters, Retha Oolman and Phyllis Kempema.
Surviving are her two daughters, Christal Gelderman and husband Martin of Pantego and Candace Gelderman and husband Neil of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada; three sons, Randall Hubers and wife Margaret of Belhaven, Robert "Bob" Hubers and wife Jan of Gastonia, and Shane Hubers and wife Lindsay, also of Belhaven; a sister, Lois Byker of Pella, IA; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Davis Cemetery by the Rev. Calvin J. Tuininga. Friends may join the family in the fellowship hall of Covenant United Reformed Church, Pantego, immediately following the services on Friday. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is handling arrangements.
