W. David Carden

   William David Carden, 86, of 202 Albania Street, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in his home.

   Mr. Carden was a native of Carteret County and was the son of the late William Bryant and Naomi McCorkle Carden. A veteran of the US Navy, he was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and by a brother.

   Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Bettye Edwards Carden; four nieces; and two nephews.

   Friends may join the family at the residence, 202 Albania Street, Edenton. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation, PO Box 442, Hatteras, NC 27943.
