Kevin Arthur Champlin

   Kevin Arthur Champlin, 45, of 1011 Hwy 158 West, Gates, NC, died Friday, January 1, 2016 in his home.

   Born in Tioga County, NY on January 27, 1970, he was the son of Audrey Rose Conklin Darrow and the late Frederick Darrow, Sr. A carpenter, he attended Upper Room Assembly in Gatesville. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Champlin.

   Surviving along with his mother are his wife, Susan Yelton Champlin; three daughters, Brittney, Kaylee and Kristyn Champlin, and their mother, Trisha Escridge; a son, Jordan Smith; grandparents, Josephine Truesdail and Lawrence Smith; two sisters, LuAnn O’Neil and Candy DeWesse; six brothers, Frederick, Jr., Richard, Charles, Danny, and Terry Darrow, and Brian Champlin; four grandchildren, Jullian, Kavon, Damien, Jr., and Kaydince; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   A gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
