Melba Warren Forehand

   Melba Warren Forehand, 76, of 1301 Macedonia Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in her home.

   Mrs. Forehand was born in Sampson County, NC on June 27, 1939, and was the daughter of the late John Wesley Warren, Jr. and Hilda Marie King Warren. Retired from the Health Information Department at Vidant Chowan Hospital, she was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Sherland R. Forehand; her daughter, Robin Jackson; and by a step-son, Stephen Forehand.

   Surviving are four sons, Robert Jackson and wife Kim of Edenton, Jeffrey Jackson of Gastonia, Marc Jackson of New Orleans, LA, and Sean Jackson and wife Lisa of Cary; her brother, J.C. Warren and wife Dean of Faison; three step-children, Gregory Forehand, Tamela Tyson, and Jeffrey Forehand; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service, and all other times at the residence. A private inurnment will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
