Ena Gray Gregory

   Ena Gray Gregory, 87, of 210 West Broad Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Monday, January 18, 2016 in her home.

   Mrs. Gregory was born in Avon, NC and was the daughter of the late Pritchard Scarborough and Mary Underwood Gray. She was a retired telephone company operator after 26 years of employment. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Avon and attended Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church in Elizabeth City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lee Gregory, and by a brother, Pritchard Joseph Gray.

   Surviving are her two daughters, Karen Lynn Gregory and Debra Gregory Eley; and a granddaughter, Kristina Lynn Eley, all of Elizabeth City.

   A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, by the Pastor Davin Phillips. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
