Eunice Chappell Boyce

   Eunice Chappell Boyce, 91, of 138 Ainsley Road, Hertford, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in her home.

    Mrs. Boyce was born in Perquimans County on August 27, 1924 and was the daughter of the late George W. and Rachel C. Chappell. A homemaker and Navy wife, she was a member of Piney Woods Friends Meeting.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, CPO David E. Boyce, USN Retired who died in 1983; by sisters, Missouria Winslow, Erma Winslow, Elva Chappell, Cora Mae Copeland, and Irene Byrum; and by her brother, Edgar Chappell.

    Surviving are her daughter, Connie B. Copeland and husband James of Edenton; sons, David E. Boyce, Jr. of Chapel Hill, Ricky C. Boyce and wife Bevin of Edenton, and Reggie T. Boyce and wife Roxann of Mayer, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Kenny Copeland, Chad Copeland, David Boyce, III, Robert Boyce, Kendra Chrissie, Rachel Raper, Elizabeth Boyce, Devon Boyce, Paige Delaney, Zach Delaney, and Autumn Hayes; and 14 great-grandchildren.

    A private graveside service will be held on the family plot in Cedarwood Cemetery. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
