Linda Lant Davenport

   Linda Jean Lant Davenport, 64, of 315B Hwy 45 South, Cofield, NC, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2016 in Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

    Born in Norfolk, VA on January 15, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mavis Hawthorne Lant.

   Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Eugene Carroll Davenport; three daughters, Barbara Jean Davenport and husband Butch Freeman of Colerain, Amy Davenport Askew and husband Neal of Harrellsville, and Ginger Davenport of Winton; two sisters, Laura Lant White of Cofield and Doreen Lant of Florida; two brothers, James Lant of Virginia Beach, VA and Edwin Lant of Cofield; and three grandsons, Kirk, Clint, and Will Davenport.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Winton Baptist Church. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Edenton, NC assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
