Charlie C. Gregory, Jr.

 









  Charlie C. "Greg" Gregory, Jr., 75, of Hertford, NC, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2016.

   Born October 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Charlie C., Sr. and Evelyn Gregory. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn G. Ormond, and by two sons, Mark Elton Gregory and Jeff Wood.

   Surviving are his loving family, his sister, Donna G. Exum and husband Jimmie R. of Virginia Beach, VA; a son, Chris Wood and wife Diana of Edenton; a daughter, Laurie Harrell, also of Edenton; three grandchildren, Amanda Paulus of Sneads Ferry, Alex Harbin of Virginia Beach, and Alexis Gregory of Edenton; and many caring nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him very much.

   He was the owner of Norfolk Monument Company for many years and a Real Estate entrepreneur most of his life.

   Greg will always be remembered for his “natural charm” and “quick wit”, along with an interesting story to share, which always left you with a SMILE:)

   A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Snug Harbor Community Church, 113 Fir Street, Hertford, and will be officiated by Pastors Mychael Berry and Stanley Nixon. Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the service. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, Hertford, assisted the family with the cremation arrangements.
