Billy B. Paul

   Billy B. Paul, 65, of 12862 NC Hwy 94 North, Creswell, NC, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Edenton.

 

   Mr. Paul was born in Washington County on July 23, 1950 and was the son of the late Jake Paul and Freda Duncan Phelps. Retired from the maintenance department at Domtar, (formerly Weyerhaeuser) in Plymouth, he attended Scuppernong Church of Christ.

 

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kimberly Michelle Spruill.

 

   Surviving are his wife of nearly 33 years, Kaye Lancaster Paul; his daughter, Cindy Spruill and husband Billy of Creswell; his son, James Paul and wife Lisa of Lexington; his sister, Sherrie Berry and husband Dean of Scranton; and two grandsons, Thomas Spruill and Brandon Paul.

 

   Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Scuppernong Church of Christ by Pastor Cleve Edwards. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the church and other times at the residence.
