Frank Avent Williams, Jr.

   Frank Avent Williams, Jr., 77, of 111 Sycamore Street, Hertford, NC, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.

   Mr. Williams was born on April 6, 1938 in Pitt County, NC and was the son of the late Frank A., Sr. and Eula Winfree Williams. A retired HVACR mechanic, he was a member of Snug Harbor Community Church and had served in the US Navy.

   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Payne Williams.

   Surviving are two sons, Frank A. Williams, III of Hertford and David L. Milam and wife Lisa of Wake Forest; four daughters, Renee Louder and husband Stan of Covington, Louisiana, Pamela Buffa and husband Joseph of Seaford, VA, Carol S. Milam of Washington, and Melody Belt and husband Paul of South Haven, MI; his sister, Martha Sandra Alvaran of Ellicott City, MD; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

   Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m., and again from 7 to 8 p.m.
