Sylvia Yvonne Thompson Pedersen

   Sylvia Yvonne Thompson Pedersen, 80, of 1341 Paradise Road, Edenton, NC, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 in Chowan River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

   Mrs. Pedersen was born in Iredell County on January 11, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Dorman and Nona Fox Thompson. Retired from the Health Care field, specializing in “In Home” nursing, she enjoyed fishing and the beach.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rolf Pedersen; her daughter, Kari Pedersen; and by her brother, Jack Mull.

   Surviving are her son, Rolf Dorman Pedersen and wife Mindy of Columbia; a brother, Clark Thompson and wife Marigail of High Point; a sister-in-law, Karla Mull of Winston-Salem; and five grandchildren, Kari, Taylor, Cameron, Kaitlynn, and Zachary.

   In accordance with her wishes, services will be private. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
