William Truett "Speck" Bryant

   William Truett “Speck” Bryant, 75, of 441 NC Hwy 42, Colerain, NC, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in his home.

 

   Mr. Bryant was born in Bertie County on February 11, 1941 and was the son of the late Arthur D. and Opie Mitchell Bryant. A retired truck driver with American Cyanamid, he was a member of Wakelon Baptist Church.

 

   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Blowe Bryant; and by his brothers, A.D. Bryant, Jr. and Kenneth Bryant.

 

   Surviving are his sister, Finette Matthews and husband R.D. of Ahoskie; a sister-in-law, Ruby Bryant of Colerain; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

 

   Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens and will be officiated by his pastor, The Rev. Allen White. Friends may join the family at the home of his sister, 2214 US 13 South, Ahoskie.

 

   Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is handling arrangements.
